Kevin Davies: Message to dropped team-mates

Davies, along with a number of other senior players including Keith Andrews and Martin Petrov, have been totally omitted from the matchday 18 at times this season - with the latter dropped from Saturday's draw with Barnsley.

But 35-year-old Davies insists it is down to those players as individuals to work their way back into Freedman's plans.

"Everyone wants to play," he told The Bolton News. "We have got a quality squad - Martin wasn't even in the squad - and people will be disappointed if they are not playing.

"But no one can afford to come in sulking. You dust yourself down and work hard because you could be in the following week.

"We've got to keep working hard on the training ground to make sure everyone knows their own role and jobs. If you do that then it helps the team."

m starting to think Roman may never actually be happy at the top level. If he wants all conquering fancy football I wonder if he'd be better off buying a lower division side then paying outlandish salaries to attract high caliber players too good for the division.

hat is arguably the least inspiring England I have ever seen. There is not a single name in that list that makes me think I might actually want to watch this team. Not a one.
