Thorne impressed in seven appearances while on loan at the Posh during November and December.

The 20-year-old was recalled by West Brom just after Christmas and has since featured in six of Albion's matches in the Premier League

On the possibility of a fresh loan deal being put in place, Ferguson said: "If George becomes available again then I am interested in re-signing him - 100 per cent.

"We have a few midfielders now that Jack (Payne) has arrived, but a player of George's quality would always be welcome.

"There is no chance of him arriving before this weekend, but the loan window opens on February 8, the day before we play Leicester."

m starting to think Roman may never actually be happy at the top level. If he wants all conquering fancy football I wonder if he'd be better off buying a lower division side then paying outlandish salaries to attract high caliber players too good for the division.
