Ian Holloway: Relieved at vital win for Palace against Charlton

The Eagles beat Wolves on New Year's Day but then did not manage another win all month, slipping out of the automatic promotion places as well as exiting the FA Cup.

But they began February with a bang as they came from behind to sink south London rivals Charlton 2-1 on Saturday.

"That was a vital win for us," said Holloway.

"That puts us safe. That's 51 points and now we can have a gallop and see how many we can get by the end of the season.

"I feel we deserved that after the last few weeks. This is a tough part of the season, I'm glad January is behind us."
