Carey was injured by a tackle from Markus Olsson and left Ewood Park in a protective boot but X-rays have revealed the injury is not as serious as was first feared.

However, the veteran defender, who is currently in his 8th season at Ashton Gate, still remains a serious doubt for this weekend's Championship clash with Nottingham Forest.

Cole Skuse's knee injury also makes him a doubt along with Neil Kilkenny who is still sidelined with a foot injury picked up in the 2-1 win over Ipswich Town.

I

think all those names linked to United exits make sense. Kagawa has never really looked like hitting the form he had at Dortmund and Fellaini is radioactive after last season (even though I think he's been unfairly singled out for criticism). Nani and Anderson have had more than their fair share of chances so they are done, and Hernandez deserves better than warming a bench.
