Despite being linked with a move away from Ashton Gate the former Barnet man was not sold during the January transfer window.

And the 25-year-old can have a huge impact on the final months of the season when he returns from Africa Cup of Nations duty with Ghana, according to his team-mate.

"I think he could be the difference for us," Baldock told the Bristol Evening Post. "He could give us that edge and spark we need.

"Albert is an important player for us. Of course, you have to be organised, keep clean sheets and be hard to play against, but you also need to get forward and create opportunities to score goals.

"With his pace, Albert is a great goal threat for us and a great outlet. Having a player like that on board helps the entire squad."

Bristol City host managerless Nottingham Forest on Saturday looking to close the five-point gap between themselves and safety.
