Since returning to the City Ground for a second spell in charge at the start of February, Davies has transformed Forest from Championship also-rans to serious top-six contenders.

The Reds are unbeaten under the Scot, who has won six of his 10 matches.

Forest travel to league leaders Cardiff on Saturday before a trip to Middlesbrough next week. Barnsley then visit the City Ground, and Davies' side complete their away fixtures at Millwall before hosting East Midlands rivals Leicester on the final day of the season.

"We are looking at two or three wins (to get into the play-offs)," Davies told the Nottingham Post.

"I would think it will be nearer to 69 points to get in the play-offs this season, rather than the normal 74 or 75, looking at the way things are.

"We have 63 so if we win three of our remaining games, what will the other teams have to do?

"We will play the next five games with the intent of trying to win them all. Whether it is against Cardiff, Leicester or Millwall, we will play to win.

"We have to win two or three games. We have to enjoy the position we are in and now go and do the best we can."

FFP has failed as for it to succeed UEFA had to take it...
