The former Watford and West Brom left-back has reverted to central defence for the Blues' last nine games, displacing Steve Caldwell from the starting line-up.

In that time, Clark's men have lost just one match, winning five, and with Championship safety now secured, the St Andrew's boss has taken the opportunity to focus on Robinson's impressive displays.

He told the Birmingham Mail: "He's playing extremely well. He's been outstanding.

"He's aggressive, he's determined and he's a great example to the younger players.

"He's lively in the training camp, in the hotels, around the club. He's been tremendous for me."
