The Blues ended a turbulent season with a 1-1 draw against Blackburn on Saturday to finish in 12th place in the Championship table.

With ownership and financial issues still not settled, and a number of players, including Robinson, 34, out of contract, the former Watford and West Brom full-back is hoping for some stability.

He told the Birmingham Mail: "It's a farce, isn't it? This is a Premier League club, Premier League fans and the possibility of Premier League players.

"It has been a tough season with that off-the-field stuff and it must be difficult for the gaffer.

"It needs to get sorted pretty quickly because this is a massive club and it would be a shame to see it do like a Portsmouth and a Coventry."

The player signed a six-month contract in January but is not yet sure if his future lies at St Andrew's.

He continued: "We are still waiting to find out what's going on. I'd be disappointed if I didn't get something, put it that way.

"I look after myself, my body feels great and I know I can still go on for a couple of years.

"I feel like I deserve a contract with the way I have played and what I have done."

hould have stayed because we carried him for 6.5 years. And then he has a breakthrough season, and was gone soon after. MU fans, you would be as disgusted had C Ronaldo left in 2007 and not 2009.

ood grief. Someone guessed that the form English player at the moment might be in his national side with some other players? And that's espionage? Now if they discovered that Emile Heskey was going to be in the starting line up.... at right back.... THAT would be espionage. Give it a rest Roy.
