Kebe impressed for Reading in the Premier League last term, netting five goals in 16 appearances and the club could face a battle to keep hold of him following their relegation.

A number of Premier League clubs are thought to be tracking Kebe, while several French sides, including Nantes, are also believed to be interested in the Mali international.

Kebe's previous contract was due to expire in 2014, but Reading have decided to take up the option to extend it for a further 12 months.

Despite extending his contract, Kebe's suitors are still thought to be weighing up moves to sign the player this summer and are ready to test Reading's resolve to hang onto the former Lens man.

Kebe, meanwhile, is gearing himself up for a big season after seeing his campaign interrupted by injury last term.

"It's great to be back fit and ready for the new season," Kebe told Sky Sports.

"I was disappointed with the injury last year as I was on target to hit double figures, but this year I am ready."
