The Dons, currently without a manager, have seen their options limited in that area due to injured trio Dale Bennett, Pim Balkestein and Mat Mitchel-King.

Caretaker boss Simon Bassey told the club's official website: "We are short of centre-backs so we have had to go back into the loan market.

"We spoke to (manager) Chris Powell at Charlton and he has let us take Yado Mambo, a player who I have watched in the last few years.

"Yado will bring a good physical presence to us at the back and he is quick and can head a ball.

"He lacks first-team experience, but he will be a good defender for us to call on in the next month."
