Mark Gower: On loan at Charlton

Powell snapped up Gower on loan from Swansea late last week but he was not considered ready to take part in Saturday's 2-0 derby defeat by Millwall.

"He's trained with us a couple of times," said Powell.

"He's clearly not ready for Championship football at this present time, but he will be by then.

"We will train right and we will make sure that he will bring what he's got, which is quality.

"He's a good footballer and has got a good eye for a pass and will bring his Premiership experience and quality to us."
