The original tie at Hillsborough was postponed on Saturday due to a waterlogged pitch and the Owls now know that victory against the Addicks will set up a quarter-final meeting with city rivals United.

It had been expected that the rearranged tie would take place the following Tuesday but under UEFA rules, FA Cup games are not permitted on the same day as European cup competitions.

Meanwhile, the Owls will play their rearranged Sky Bet Championship game against QPR at Hillsborough on Tuesday, March 18.

That fixture has twice been postponed due to Wednesday's FA Cup commitments.
