Beg, Steal Or Borrow To Back United

With Man United available at 19/10 to beat Chelsea on Sunday, Degsy knows what will be on his coupon this weekend. When he's not backing Rubio in the boxing anyway...

Fancying United To Slip At Sunderland

While we're not happy at Degsy Bilton for reminding us of Keith Chegwin's 'Naked Jungle', he does reckon Sunderland will get a title-scuppering draw on Sunday...

It's A Winty v Degsy Bet-Off...

We'd like to say we planned this, but actually we got some dates mixed up and thought Degsy was still off. So here's a Football365 face-off - it's Degsy v Winty...

Arsenal v Blackburn
Three defeats and a draw in their last four is hardly the form of champions so I'd be loathe to throw the rent money at Arsenal this weekend at odds as tight as 2/7 in places.

RVP, Arsenal's MVP, is as short as 2/1 to score first in this and with Chris Samba missing for Rovers (despite being 'fit and available') punting lemmings up and down the land will no doubt be on Dutchie to find the net.

A good as he's been though, 2/1 is plenty short. Instead punters should try Ladbrokes' 11/10 about both teams scoring. For al their faults Blackburn are a side with goals in them and Arsenal's clean sheet against Bolton in the week was their first of 2012.
Betting: Both teams to score at 11/10 (Ladbrokes)

Norwich v Bolton
The Trotters are unbeaten in their last four and that run includes a 3-1 thumping of Liverpool and a battling point gained against Arsenal.

I am therefore quite excited by 13/5 quotes regarding a draw. Norwich are decent on their own patch but were by all accounts a shambles at Sunderland the other night and Bolton must share the points away from the Reebok sooner rather than later, having drawn precisely none of their last 16 Premier League away matches.
Betting: Norwich and Bolton to draw at 13/5 (BetVictor)

QPR v Wolves
Just three points between these two and with Wolves having lost three on the bounce you'd say the Camel Coats were right to keep Rangers onside.

I expect Mick McCarthy to ask his men to be uber-physical here and try and kick their way to a point. And bearing in mind that the last four league meetings between these two at Loftus Road has produced a paltry two goals, it might be an idea to go low in terms of onion bag action.
Betting: 'Under 1.5 Goals' at 11/4 (Ladbrokes/Stan James)

Stoke v Sunderland
Can I just start by throwing a big dirty V sign in the general direction of Sunderland. They caused me unnecessary suffering last Sunday as their inability to beat Middlesbrough in the FA Cup cost me a £500+ coupon. I fully intend to get myself to the replay at the Riverside, and have vowed to make moose noises every time a Sunderland player gets the ball in a bid to vent my spleen at the Black Cats and exorcise my coupon demons.

Looking at this one you'd have to go with Stoke. In seven visits to the Britannia in the PL, Sunderland have yet to record a win (six defeats and a draw). And I can well see the hosts getting the job done again.
Betting HT/FT Draw/Stoke at 9/2 (Boylesports/Hills)

West Brom v Swansea
Really, really tough game to get one's head round this. The Baggies are struggling but Swansea have been eating plenty of sh*t themselves away from the Liberty Stadium.

So rather than try and pull a prediction out of my bottom for the sake of it let me do you all a favour. Make sure you have a little something on Marco Antonio Rubio to stop Julio Cesar Chavez Jr in Texas this weekend.

WBC middleweight boss Chavez Jr has been more protected than those giant Chinese pandas in recent years, and Rubio is just the man to check his chin credentials in San Antonio.
Betting: Rubio to win by KO, TKO or Disqualification at 5/1 (Ladbrokes)

Wigan v Everton
Wigan are rancid but Everton's away form leaves a lot to be desired (one league win in their last five).

Therefore it might be wise to cast your punting net out a bit wider this weekend and try and snare a first goalscorer fish. Landon Donovan's goalscoring record will never see him mistaken for Dixie Dean but the little American (all 5'8" of him) looks a decent price at 10s to score first against the Latics, espesh when he's as short as 7/1 with several firms.

Betting: Donovan to score first at 10/1 (Betfred)

Manchester City v Fulham
Are the wheels really coming off at Citeh? Is Mr Mancini really set for a Kevin Keegan "I'd love it if we beat them, love it" type breakdown? Maybe, but the layers don't see it happening this week and have chalked up the Citizens as no bigger than 3/10 for the win.

Mancini's men have won 16 PL games on the bounce at home but the last team to get anything from the Ethiad was Fulham, who drew 1-1 there in February 2011. You can get 9/2 about them sharing the spoils this weekend, but I reckon the route to profit is backing the hosts to win this by a couple.
Betting: Manchester City (-2) to beat Fulham at 9/4 (Coral)

Newcastle v Aston Villa
Those crazy Toon fans continue to dream of a top four finish so they can show off their man boobs in the Champions League next year and with their African contingent back in the fold they will be confident of brushing past a mediocre Villa side at the Sports Direct Arena/St James Park (delete as applicable).

However, the only bet worth considering here is surely Darren Bent to score. 'The Mailman' (club owner Randy Lerner's nickname for Bent because, get this, he always delivers!) has scored in each of his last four matches and 2/1 about him scoring here should be jumped all over as he has a decent scoring record against the Mags.
Betting: Bent to score anytime at 2/1 (Coral)

Chelsea v Manchester United
If you are even thinking about a bet on Chelsea this Sunday you quite frankly need sectioning under the Mental Health Act.

ManYoo have won five of their last six against the Blues and Fergie's mob are coming to the boil very nicely indeed just now (best away record in the league too in terms of points on the board).

The Blues are struggling for goals generally and in Fernando Torres have a £50million player who has not scored in over 1000 minutes of play. Indeed there is more chance of my mate's brother (a 13-year-old virgin with a front tooth missing who spends his days locked away in his room playing COD and flamboyantly perusing RedTube) scoring this weekend than 'El Nino'.

So beg, steal borrow or cadge but make sure the Red Devils are the cornerstone of any wagers this weekend.
Betting: Manchester United to beat Chelsea at 19/10 (Betfred/Coral)
