Luton v Millwall
The 1980s was a time when football hooliganism threatened to engulf the national game. There was no Sky. No prawn sandwiches. And the half-time entertainment largely consisted of literally hundreds of charged up males in questionable attire setting about each other. There were some truly shocking episodes, none more so than when Millwall went to Luton in the FA Cup in 1985 and ran amok. Luton won the match 1-0 but the game will forever be remembered for The Bushwhackers invading the pitch and actually forcing the rozzers to run for cover as they pelted them with orange seats. I expect no repeat this weekend, with the nation watching to see if Luton from the Conference can earn a place in the quarter-finals. Unapologetic old FA Cup romantics might fancy them at 3/1, but I much prefer Millwall getting this done (and leaving the seats intact) at 11/10.

Arsenal v Blackburn Rovers
It's the FA Cup or bust surely for Arsenal this season, given they are not expected to get past Bayern Munich in the Champions League. Mons Wenger might ring the changes in preparation for next week's Champions League first leg clash, and that could mean a start for Lukas Podolski. The big man has scored 12 for the Gooners already this term and should find Blackburn rearguard (who have shipped 38 goals in the Championship) much to his liking. Odds-on in places, make the most of Ladbrokes stand out 11/8 quote.

MK Dons v Barnsley
They beat him. They deprived him. They ridiculed him. They broke his heart. But they couldn't break his spirit. Billy Casper. The irascible 15-year-old from Barnsley who tamed and fell in love with a kestrel. Kes of course met an untimely end (head pulled off and thrown into a bin) after Billy failed to put a bet on for his brother Jud, and I have a hunch Barnsley could meet a similar sticky ending in this one.

Oldham v Everton
Oldham of course stunned Liverpool in the last round, otherwise we would have been talking about a Merseyside derby here. It was a fabulous day for the Latics, whose chairman rubbished suggestions he was about to sack Paul Dickov in the aftermath of the match. Less than two weeks later, he rubbished Dickov's 2013, by sacking him. Oldham are 10/1 to claim a second stunning win against Scouse opposition this weekend, but I don't think the Toffees will under-estimate their League One opponents like the Reds clearly did. I'll be mostly backing a routine Everton win here.

Manchester City v Leeds
Never mind Arsenal, the FA Cup now looks like Citeh's only chance of silverware this season after their shambolic recent run in the league. Leeds will be well supported at the Etihad and there will no doubt be a few Yorkshiremen daft enough to back their team at 17/1 in this one. This is arguably the pick of the fifth round ties, and I can honestly see a scenario where Leeds go ahead and Mancini begins applauding his side like a sarcastic maniac again from the sidelines. However I fancy the English champions to eventually get the job done, so might have a few shekels on Leeds to be winning at some point but losing at the end.
Betting: Manchester City to win from behind at 8/1 (Ladbrokes)
Huddersfield v Wigan
The Terriers claimed a creditable 2-1 win away to Leicester to get to this point and I reckon they are a big price at 14/5 to claim a mild shock here. The ubiquitous Roberto Martinez surely won't lose much sleep should his Latics side bomb out here but ultimately stay up, so look for the Iberian to shuffle his pack and hopefully come a cropper.
