Everton v Manchester City
Everton were humbled by lowly Wigan in the FA Cup last week and the knives are out at Goodison. Marouane Fellaini was given nuff grief for a perceived lack of effort against the Latics and the general consensus is da beg fella is merely going through the motions and trying to avoid injury before he leaves Merseyside for pastures new in the summer. Citeh meanwhile nailed Barnsley to the boards with Carlos Tevez scoring a hat-trick, as predicted at 16/1 pre-match by one on-the-ball internet tipster (sweeps hair back nonchalantly and winks). For the record I reckon the Citizens are cracking value to add to Everton's woes in Saturday's early kick-off.

Aston Villa v QPR
No doubting the game of the day at the bottom. Both of these teams scored precious wins at the weekend and for QPR it was a second on the spin. 'Arry Redders reckons if he can keep them up it will eclipse anything he has done in football and a win this weekend should see them finally move off the bottom. I reckon they can get it too because my gut feeling is that Villa will perish this term and with this in mind I will be helping myself to current 5/2 quotes at some point today.

Southampton v Liverpool
The Reds are on the march and are still hopeful they can somehow snare a Champions League berth by finishing fourth this term. To do so they have to keep Luis Suarez fit and they have to be turning over the likes of Southampton. 'El Pistolero' has scored seven goals in his last four matches and is a 5/1 shot to score two or more at St Mary's. I don't know about you but that price makes me feel like rubbing myself.

Stoke v West Brom
Stoke are sinking like a stone just now having lost seven of their last nine matches in the league. In stark contrast the Baggies are bang in form yet are still better than 2/1 for the win here. Not only do I think they'll claim three points, I also fancy them to win by at least a couple.

Arsenal v Swansea
It was heroic, it was valiant yet ultimately in vain. But enough about my failed attempt to eat six Whopper burgers off the belt for £50 on Wednesday night, a night Arsenal were also dumped out of the Champions League despite winning 2-0 at Bayern Munich. Can they muster the same spirit they showed in that match in Wales? The layers are unsure, with the Gooners 13/10 pokes to claim an essential win in their faltering bid to ensure Champions League football next term. I much prefer 11/4 quotes about Santi Cazorla to score. The pocket genius is a true joy to behold when he is 'on' and having chipped in with 11 goals already this term you would surely rather be a backer than a layer at the prices?

Manchester United v Reading
Reading are without a manager are the rather ignominious sacking of Brian McDermott. They are also eating sh*t sandwiches on an almost weekly basis at the foot of the table so most pundits are predicting that the PL champions elect will give them a right going over here. No this one though. I think it might be tight again and given the Red Devils have only beaten the Royals by one goal in two matches already this term I think there is some mileage in punting that the winning margin will again be the slenderest possible.

Sunderland v Norwich
Bit of a nothing game this. Neither side look at though they are going to be dragged into a relegation dog-fight anytime soon so the action could all be a bit pedestrian on Wearside. As Shakespeare once mused however, 'It matters more when there's money on it' so I might just get stuck into Grant Holt scoring first.

Tottenham v Fulham
Spurs shambled into the Europa League quarter-finals on Thursday night but needed the away goals rule to save them as they slipped to a 4-1 extra-time defeat against Inter Milan. It was a physically draining game and don't be surprised if AVB's men suffer a bit of a hangover on Sunday against Fulham. If they do, old boy Dimitar Berbatov could capitalise. The brilliant Bulgar has not been seen for a few weeks and has been struggling with a hamstring problem but my sources tell me he is likely to feature here and if he does 9/1 looks a big price.

Chelsea v West Ham
It's been a good week for Chelsea. An improbable 2-2 draw at Old Trafford and a 3-1 win at Stamford Bridge over Steaua BUcharest means they are still in the FA Cup and Europa League. And Rafa Benitez is still in a job. For now. As you would expect the Blues are hot favourites for this one, but I am still not totally convinced about them at the back and therefore think 5/6 about both team scoring is a rock-solid punt this weekend.

Wigan v Newcastle
Looking at Wigan's run-in it is clear they need a result here and the ubiquitous Roberto Martinez will surely have them revved up against a Magpies side that still have European aspirations after another last-gasp win at St James' Park on Thursday night. Not an easy match to call but the Latics should be double motivated to claim the three points here and the fact that they are at home makes them a play for me at 11/8.
