The 19-year-old forward, who came through the youth academy at Nottingham Forest before signing for the Blues in a million pound-plus deal last season, will remain at stadium:mk until January 7, 2013.

Bamford is set to link up with his new team-mates on Friday ahead of the Dons' League One fixture at home to Colchester the following day and he will be available to play against the U's.

The youngster, capped twice at England Under-19 level, will be eligible for the much-anticipated FA Cup second-round clash against AFC Wimbledon next month.

Bamford has yet to make an appearance for the Blues first team but has featured regularly for their Under-21 side, scoring six goals in seven fixtures last term.
