The deal puts an end to speculation regarding the 16-year-old, with Premier League rivals Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool all credited with an interest.

The Blues have now moved to secure Hunte's services for the long-term with the attack-minded midfielder now set to sign his first professional contract in the near future.

Hunte has impressed in his three appearances for England's Under-17s and is considered one of the country's brightest prospects.

His first international call came at the start of the 2011-12 campaign when he was selected for the Under-16s and he has continued his progression since.
