The Blues bought the Belgium international from Genk last January but he spent the remainder of last term with his old club before being sent out to Bremen on loan for the current campaign.

De Bruyne is yet to make a senior appearance for Chelsea and has been linked with another move in the summer, with clubs in the Bundesliga thought to be targeting the 21-year-old.

The youngster admits he does not know if he has a future at Chelsea but remains eager to play for the Premier League side.

Asked if he still wanted to ply his trade at Stamford Bridge, he told Sky Sports: "That's the reason that I signed there last year.

"I want to show everyone at Chelsea that I can play there. But at the moment I don't know what Chelsea want to do with me, so it's difficult to say what's going to happen with me in the next year, or years. I have to just wait."

De Bruyne has won 10 caps for Belgium after making his senior debut in 2010 and scored his second goal for his country in the 2-0 win in Macedonia in World Cup qualifying last Friday.

The midfielder believes playing on the international stage has shown he can compete at a Premier League level.

De Bruyne said: "International (football) is also at a very high level so I think you can compare it with Chelsea because all the players in our national team also play at big clubs in England and all over the world."

Chelsea's Eden Hazard scored the other goal in Belgium's victory on Friday and De Bruyne says he enjoys playing alongside him.

He added ahead of Tuesday's home game with Macedonia: "I love to play with Eden. We've played together for a long time already for the national team at the same age."

think that puts all doubts over Benteke's quality to bed. Can he do it after receiving the ball to feet, in the box, totally unmarked, on a warm, sunny afternoon in Swindon? Oh yes he can! This year is definitely Liverpool's year. YNWA.

ll very well selling all midfield and strikers but unless we bring anyone in that is better than what we had then it will be a terrible transfer window in my view. Sorted out the defense but our midfield and striker options look very light.

ove it when Jose accuses others of being defensive, cynical and playing to win. If I was Wenger, I'd get that quote laminated and framed - surely the biggest compliment he's ever received from Mourinho. You've got him riled Arsene - you're relevant again!
