The Spaniard has scored 11 league goals this season, whilst no Premier League player has contributed more assists, but despite Mata's efforts Chelsea soon fell away from mounting a serious title challenge as Manchester United dominated domestically.

Mata is hopeful that, with some added continuity the Blues can make a significant title bid next season, whilst he also picked out striker Fernando Torres for praise.

"We missed continuity this season in the Premier League," Mata told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

"Next year will be so different, and for me the Premier League is a challenge now. It is a trophy that I am missing and a trophy that I want to win."

Mata also insisted that struggling striker Torres still has a lot to give to Chelsea.

"I believe that Fernando still has much to give to Chelsea," added Mata.

"The way he trains and his mentality means that he still has many years at the top level left."

I

expect Pulis to have a nice Christmas dinner with his family- probably all sitting around the table wearing Christmas themed baseball caps, before he gets the call. Realistically he could end up at any number of clubs, it'll be interesting to see which club folds first.

s a Liverpool fan, I personally hate Palace. My pick would probably be Arsenal, which is funny because it seems the vast majority of their own fans don't even like them right now.
