They welcome Steve Bruce's side to Stamford Bridge on 17 August, with Mourinho set to take centre stage on his return to English football.

A trip to Manchester United on the second weekend of the campaign could offer an early indication as to the destiny of the league crown.

Chelsea will take part in back-to-back London derbies in September, with a home date with Fulham followed by a visit to Tottenham Hotspur - which will see Mourinho pitched head-to-head with his former assistant Andre Villas-Boas.

It promises to be an intriguing Christmas period for Chelsea and they will want to build momentum during an away date at Arsenal on 21 December for battles at the Bridge with Swansea City on Boxing Day and Liverpool on 28 December.

Manchester United will travel to west London on 18 January, while Mourinho will take his side to Manchester City on 1 February and Liverpool on 26 April.

Chelsea will end their season with a home clash against Norwich City and a trip to Cardiff City on the final weekend.
