The 20-year-old spent last season with Middlesbrough, while his last appearance for Chelsea, in January 2012, preceded a loan move to Swansea City.

The England Under-21 international progressed through Chelsea's youth system to make his first-team debut in a Champions League tie against Zilina in September 2010.

Currently with the Chelsea squad on the club's pre-season tour of Asia, McEachran is waiting to speak to Mourinho about where his new boss may see his immediate future.

"I'm a Chelsea player and my dream as a kid was to play for Chelsea, so I want to play for them this season," McEachran told Sky Sports News.

"But if the boss wants me to go out on loan I'll have to listen to him and go out. It's down to him.

"He said he would speak to me while we were in Asia so I'll wait for then.

"Hopefully it would be to a Premier League team, but I wouldn't mind going to a Championship team either."
