An Achilles injury forced the 35-year-old out of last Wednesday's opening match of the tour in Bangkok and the midfielder is now unlikely to feature for the Blues against a Malaysia XI on Sunday.

Manager Jose Mourinho has insisted he will take no risks with injuries and Lampard, the club's record goalscorer, is set to miss out again.

Following their clash in Kuala Lumpur, Chelsea travel to Indonesia to play in Jakarta on Thursday.

Chelsea began their pre-season tour with a 1-0 victory over Singha All-Stars with Romelu Lukaku scoring the winner.
