The Blues dominated English football for a spell under Jose Mourinho during the Portuguese tactician's first stint in charge at Stamford Bridge.

There have been indications since his return to west London that the Chelsea of old can be rekindled, with Mourinho renowned for his ability to get the best out of those at his disposal.

Cech believes a 4-0 victory over Steaua Bucharest in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday shows the Blues are firmly 'back in business', with things only going to get better once an enviable array of attacking talent starts firing on all cylinders.

The Czech goalkeeper said in the Daily Express: "The main difference against Steaua was that we converted our chances. Then you can control the game and play with freedom.

"Every counter-attack we could feel we had a chance to score. It was a mature performance.

"You can go out and have a bad game, as we did in the first one at home (to Basel). But the main thing is the reaction.

"We knew that home result was a blow, but we are back in business now.

"Can I see signs of the old Chelsea returning? I wouldn't want to compare because it's two different teams. But this was a very good performance, ruthless in front of goal."

Chelsea's focus now turns back to domestic competition, with a trip to Norwich City on Sunday offering them a chance to build on a solid yet unspectacular opening to the Premier League season which has brought three wins in six.

Cech added: "There is still a long way to go and we are not far behind.

"We had a much more difficult start to the season than other teams who are on front. They had to play games you would expect them to win.

"We are progressing and are going in the right direction."

All Platini is doing is making billionaries pay measly fines, so he and his cronies can get rich. If a fool can pay 50 mil for David Luiz, he will happily pay some fine to UEFA. FFP has failed as for it to succeed UEFA had to take it...
