The Royal Blues have been flying in Europe and go into back-to-back matches with Chelsea full of confidence.

They have beaten Steaua Bucharest and Basel to go top of Group E, and they are in fifth place in the Bundesliga after a 3-2 win over Eintracht Braunschweig on Saturday.

Schalke coach Jens Keller has singled out Chelsea as "one of the favourites for the title" but he believes there is no reason for his side to feel inferior.

"Just a glance at Group E as well as our recent results in the Bundesliga give us self-confidence, of course," Keller said.

"We're at home and Chelsea are going to feel that from the very first minute."

Keller is hopeful former Tottenham midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng will return to the side after missing the weekend game with a knee injury.

"Things are looking good with him," said Keller, who has however lost midfielder Marco Hoger to a knee injury for around six months.

"We shan't talk about misfortune and feel sorry for ourselves," he said. "We've got to take the situation as it is.

"Every player who goes out there will give it their best."

Germany international Julian Draxler has been linked with a move to the Premier League but he has signed a new contract which keeps him at the club until 2018.

"Many of Europe's top clubs come from England so of course there's an attraction to play there, but I've just extended my contract and we're in the middle of the season so I'm not wasting any thoughts on that," said the 20-year-old.

ven if United were to sign CR7 & Messi to play upfront, the fact remains Fletcher and Cleverly are playing in midfield. That's where the problem is. Fletcher is too slow with an awful pass, while Cleverly is simply rubbish
