Eto'o is out of contract in the summer after joining Chelsea on a one-year deal from Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala last August, and it remains to be seen where the 32-year-old will be plying his trade next term.

The Cameroon international, who scored a hat-trick in Chelsea's 3-1 Premier League win over Manchester United on Sunday, is unlikely to be short of offers but he does admit his son has been encouraging him to return to Spanish side Mallorca before he hangs up his boots.

"My son has pressured me to finish (my career) there. My son is from Mallorca," he told Spanish radio station Cadena Cope.

"I'll always like Barca, but I prefer Mallorca."

Eto'o made his name at Mallorca where he first shone during a four-year spell from 2000 before earning superstar status at Barcelona, and he still holds the Balearic Island club - who were relegated from La Liga last season and currently lie eighth in the Segunda Division - very dear to his heart.

The three-times Champions League winner also admitted there was plenty he missed about life in Spain.

"I miss everything from there," he added.

"I miss my team-mates, my friends, Barcelona, the weather, the ham, everything..."

After a slow start to his first season in London, speculation is rife after his heroics against United, but the Cameroonian hitman insists he is yet to make any decisions.

"At the moment, it's one season and I intend to enjoy it, then we'll see."

I

think all those names linked to United exits make sense. Kagawa has never really looked like hitting the form he had at Dortmund and Fellaini is radioactive after last season (even though I think he's been unfairly singled out for criticism). Nani and Anderson have had more than their fair share of chances so they are done, and Hernandez deserves better than warming a bench.
