Hazard helped himself to his first hat-trick for Chelsea as he led Newcastle a merry dance to help Mourinho's side move to the top of the Premier League.

The former Lille man has scored 12 goals for Chelsea this season, three more than he managed in the whole of last season and he has also provided six assists for the Blues this campaign.

Despite a number of impressive displays, Hazard has yet to win any individual awards this season with Mourinho admitting he is shocked the Belgian has not been recognised.

"Eden Hazard is this player, a player for some reason he didn't get one single player of the month in this Premier League," Mourinho told Sky Sports.

"And this performance today was just different than other performances because today he scored three goals. But he had other performances exactly the same as he did today, so it is quite surprising for me that such a young player with what he is showing this season is never player of the month.

"So I don't know if it is something with him, or with us or this country is full of tremendous players because this kid doesn't deserve one award.

"Of course it means this country is full of unbelievable players because when Eden Hazard arrives in February and doesn't have that award not even once is good - it means our football country is full of fantastic players.

"I think everybody does [enjoys watching Hazard] only the people that gives the award don't enjoy that."

Despite the comprehensive victory, Mourinho admitted he was far from happy with Chelsea's performance in the first half with Moussa Sissoko missing a great chance to draw Newcastle level a 1-0 down

"I didn't like the first half," added Mourinho. "I think we didn't deserve to be winning 2-0, we were winning because Eden had some individual actions and the combination with [Samuel] Eto'o but my team didn't play very well in the first half.

"We didn't press the opponent enough, we gave them freedom to play. They didn't have big, big chances they had only one [Moussa] Sissoko with Petr [Cech], but they were too close to our box.

"But (it was) 2-0 at half-time and after that in the second half we were in complete control of the game, space, time to play, 3-0 it could have been four, five.

"In the first half I think Newcastle played really well. With so many problems Alan had to make his team, but he built the team and they were very well organised and that created us problems in the first half."

I

expect Pulis to have a nice Christmas dinner with his family- probably all sitting around the table wearing Christmas themed baseball caps, before he gets the call. Realistically he could end up at any number of clubs, it'll be interesting to see which club folds first.

For Foxes' Sake, Call The Pulis...

A

s a Liverpool fan, I personally hate Palace. My pick would probably be Arsenal, which is funny because it seems the vast majority of their own fans don't even like them right now.
