The Cameroon striker has scored seven times in 27 appearances since signing a one-year contract, worth £7million, in August 2013.

However, recent reports have claimed the former Barcelona and Inter Milan forward is prepared to abandon the London club rather than push on towards a new contract.

Eto'o lambasted the speculation and remains adamant his heart is solely focused on Chelsea's Premier League title campaign.

"False and degrading information has been published about me," the 32-year-old posted on Instagram.

"I just want to remind to all that I have a tremendous love for Chelsea. I have a lot of respect for my leaders and teammates.

"I love Chelsea fans and I will keep on giving everything I have to defend the Blues."

Victory over Everton on Saturday ensured Jose Mourinho's side retained their place at the Premier League summit, one point ahead of Arsenal; while next on the agenda for Chelsea is a UEFA Champions League last-16 tie at Galatasaray on Tuesday.
