Ian Holloway's side then face a trip to the Britannia Stadium to face Stoke the following weekend for their first away clash before playing host to Sunderland.

Palace will then return from the international break to travel to Old Trafford to face the champions Manchester United.

October sees them visit Anfield for a tough test against Brendan Rodgers' Liverpool as well as a London derby at Selhurst Park against Arsenal.

They face fellow top-flight new boys Cardiff at home on December 4.

A hectic Christmas schedule sees them travel to Aston Villa on Boxing Day and Norwich on New Year's Day.

Their penultimate game and final home match is against Manuel Pellegrini's Manchester City and they end the season at Fulham.

ah, Fergie is just having another pop at Rooney. He just wants to put him down whenever he gets a chance. Rooney is by far the best English player. Carrick is not far behind, mind. However, by elevating Carrick like that, Sir is having a dig at Wayne. Fergie is well-known for mind games like that. Good to see he's still feisty.
