The Brazilian midfielder is available as a free agent after turning down the offer of a new contract at Crystal Palace.

In snubbing the Eagles, he has passed up the opportunity to grace the Premier League.

He may, however, be offered the opportunity to remain in England at the Reebok Stadium.

Freedman worked with Moritz during his time in charge at Selhurst Park and admits he could be tempted to make an approach.

The 26-year-old is understood to already have offers on the table so Bolton will need to move quickly if they are to reach an agreement.

Freedman said in the Bolton News: "It is something we are looking at.

"I've worked with him before and with it being a free transfer, if it was also an acceptable wage, then it might be something we can do."
