Nicklas Bendtner: Brief visit to Palace's training ground

The Arsenal striker - linked with Palace since a proposed move to Germany fell through earlier this summer - arrived at Beckenham in the early afternoon only to depart around 15 minutes later.

Bendtner's former Arsenal team-mate Marouane Chamakh has already made the switch from The Emirates to Selhurst Park.

Ian Holloway, meanwhile, is close to adding two other signings to the deadline-day capture of Huddersfield defender Jack Hunt.

Aston Villa midfielder Barry Bannan, who played under Holloway during a loan spell at Blackpool, has undergone a medical ahead of his proposed move.
