City go into Saturday's Premier League clash with the Eagles boasting a 100% home league record - the only team to not drop a point on their own turf in the Premier League.

However the England defender insists their form won't go to their heads, and they are focused on the task at hand.

"We are confident but not arrogant," Lescott told the Manchester Evening News.

"We believe that we can be a match for any team if we apply ourselves in the right way and fortunately we have been doing that at home.

"I think we have the hunger and desire there now and I think the form is coming at the right time."

But after picking up nine points from the last 18 available and keeping six cleansheets in their last nine, Lescott feels Palace's threat cannot be ignored.

"Make no mistake, Palace will be a very strong test," he added.

"They're coming off the back of a great win at Aston Villa. Their form has picked up since Tony Pulis has come in. He's an experienced and organised manager so we know we're going to be in for a game."

haos reached its ultimate reckoning last weekend with Tony Hibbert looking assured at left back and Osman looking like a cultured ball playing midfielder before busting a gut to get to the back post for a Samuel Eto'o ball. Different chaos but chaos. If Kone scores the winner tonight I fear the world will end.
