The Wales international shone during his eight appearances at the end of the season having signed for the Exiles on a short-term contract following his departure from Crystal Palace.

But boss Justin Edinburgh looks ready to admit defeat in his hopes of keeping Blake in south Wales.

"I spoke to Darcy's representatives and unfortunately I don't think we're going to be able to come to a compromise," he told the South Wales Argus.

"We needed to improve the deal that he came here in March and we understood that but it looks like Darcy is looking at other avenues now."
