Craig Bryson: May be brought back ahead of schedule

Bryson has missed the last four matches with a knee injury and Clough believes the Scot needs a little more time to fully recover.

However, due to the importance of Saturday's fixture - and Bryson's importance to his team - the Rams boss is considering rushing the 26-year-old back for the lunchtime clash at Pride Park.

"He'll do a little bit on Wednesday and maybe on Friday and we'll see how he is," said Clough.

"In an ideal world he would be another week, but just with the nature of the game on Saturday we're going to try to get him out there.

"He's one of our main players, when he's fit he stays in the team. He's an important player for us, not just for the energy he brings but also for his quality on the ball, and we miss him when he doesn't play."
