Conor Sammon: In line for his full Republic of Ireland debut

Sammon is set to make his senior international debut at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on Wednesday night after head coach Giovanni Trapattoni confirmed his starting line-up for the match on Tuesday afternoon.

The 26-year-old, who has scored seven goals for the Rams this season, will partner West Brom's Shane Long up front.

Sammon's Derby team-mates Richard Keogh and Jeff Hendrick, also called up to the senior set-up for the first time along with Sammon, have missed out on starting spots but are expected to be on the bench.
