The Northern Ireland international has sat out the Rams' last three matches with a hamstring injury and will miss their Tuesday night trip to Blackpool.

Simpson told Rams Player: "Jamie trained on Monday but the game at Blackpool is a bit too early for him.

"He came through the session with no problems but we felt it would just be too much of a gamble to throw him straight back in, even if it was on the bench.

"We're hoping that he'll get a full week of training under his belt and be available for the weekend against Huddersfield."
