Wabara, 21, joined Rovers on a one-month loan deal recently and has been reunited with Dickov, who also signed him at Oldham.

The full-back believes an impressive spell in South Yorkshire could also force himself into the thoughts of new City boss Manuel Pellegrini.

"The manager believes in me 100 per cent and I want to repay that," he told the South Yorkshire Times.

"Paul has been very influential for me, I have a great deal of respect for him. When he called me to ask me to come down I was delighted, I took it with both hands.

"It's a chance to prove myself, I'm a very determined person and I want to show everyone my ability. I want to play well for myself and the team and whatever happens will happen."

P

robably the first list I've come across in a long time where I agree with a large majority of what was written. Can't agree with everything though, Zaba has had an awful season by his standards, I'd put Monreal (a player who I've never rated) up there, gotta give credit where it's due, he's really stepped up his game.
