Billy Paynter: Loan move to Bramall Lane

Paynter, who has made just one start this campaign, heads to Bramall Lane in search of regular football.

United manager Nigel Clough told the club's official website: "Billy is a proven striker at this level and he gives us additional options with a busy period of fixtures ahead.

"He is cup-tied but available for the league games and will be able to share the load with Chris Porter."

Meanwhile, Blades defender Sean McGinty has joined Northampton on a month-long loan and Marcus Williams has moved to Scunthorpe on a permanent deal.
