Scott Parker: Back in light training and could be back in two weeks

England international Parker has yet to play this season after undergoing an Achilles operation in August.

Parker is back in light training and Villas-Boas is excited at the prospect of having the midfielder back in his plans.

"He is in light training but we hope in the next two weeks he will be available. He is making big progress," Villas-Boas told The Sun.

"His impact can be decisive. He was player of the season last year and we expect him to be one of our main strengths.

"He hasn't lost his abilities. Now we have resumed light training with him he has been absolutely amazing."
