yet again fishcake talking through his hole. Specialised training my ar*se...rio is a tw*t, always has been. He'd turned his back on his country to be a pundit dont give me that bull about specialised training...he is big baby. Roy should absolutley blast him in the media he deserves every bit of it.

@Jimbobbarker....Make up excuses? Its common knowlegde that Rio has been having specialised training for years! Hodgson, or Bodgson as he should actually be called, has made another massive c**k up in a ever increasing line of c**k ups! The problem of course is that people wanted an English manager and are therefore turning a blind eye to his gaff after gaff! First, he chose JT over Rio....utterly disgusting thing to have done, expecially given it was so blatently obvious that Terry was actually lying in court! Bodgson then revealed Rio's England future was over....to a random on a train and now, he's called a player up who thought his England career was over, without actually speaking to him first! If Woy wasn't so far out of his depth he would have checked Rio's availabilty BEFORE announcing the squad! Rio's 34, he has had chronic injury problems, he thought his international career was over...therefore these breaks are crucial to his fitness regime. If he was playing for United this weekend.....then that would have been planned for! He is often rested for United games....no one bats an eyelid then! And how do you know its a 'big money gig'? If Rio short of a few bob or something? How much do people actually think pundits get paid for 2 hours work? I cant remember another story where ALL the facts are simply ignored to push certain agendas. Capello wouldn't have had this issue.

Roy Hodgson is an intelligent man, far more intelligent than Rio Ferdinand is and I would put a weeks wages on the fact that Rio will never pull on the England shirt again. You dont make up and excuse about not playing because of a training plan and then swan off on a big money gig half way around the world. Would he be playing for Man U this weekend if it wasn't an international break? I expect so. It's a shame but we need to move on now.
