The Ducale club beat Torino in the race to finish sixth in Serie A to clinch the final European qualifying spot, but their place was in doubt as they had not been granted a UEFA licence by the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) due to financial irregularities.

Parma had their UEFA licence twice rejected by the Italian football bosses due to a dispute over income tax on their contracted players that have played on loan at other clubs this season.

And although they were confident in their appeal, the Italian Olympic Committee's High Court of Justice ruled in favour of the FIGC.

A brief statement read: "The high court of sports justice has rejected the appeal presented by Parma against the FIGC over the decision to refuse them a Uefa licence for the 2014-15 season."

The decision means Torino are likely to take Parma's spot in next term's Europa League.

hould have stayed because we carried him for 6.5 years. And then he has a breakthrough season, and was gone soon after. MU fans, you would be as disgusted had C Ronaldo left in 2007 and not 2009.

ood grief. Someone guessed that the form English player at the moment might be in his national side with some other players? And that's espionage? Now if they discovered that Emile Heskey was going to be in the starting line up.... at right back.... THAT would be espionage. Give it a rest Roy.
