Manager Roberto Martinez also revealed the 31-year-old will miss Saturday's Premier League game against West Ham at Goodison Park after he suffered a setback in training.

Martinez said: "Phil has felt his hamstring over the last couple of days and will be missing at the weekend and for England.

"I don't think it will be a long-term injury, but Phil will be missing for a couple of weeks."

Jagielka has made 24 appearances for England so far and has been a regular in the starting XI since Roy Hodgson took charge.
