The Republic of Ireland full-back hit a last-gasp winner for the Toffees at home to Cardiff at Goodison Park on Saturday.

It was the 25-year-old's seventh goal of the campaign and helped the Merseysiders maintain their hope of finishing in a European spot for next season.

And Spaniard Martinez believes Coleman has everything in his locker to take him to the very top.

"It is rare to have someone who can defend, be strong in one-v-one situations, cover the centre-backs and then have the stamina to get forward," he told reporters.

"Seamus has a clinical eye in front of goal, too, and it is quite difficult to find a better full-back than him. We want to see how far he can go.

"For Seamus to keep playing in those good positions to keep allowing him to score from open play is significant.

"He had to miskick the ball to beat David Marshall with the way it was going.

"It was an incredible performance from Seamus. He was all-action. He had to defend well at times but he got forward really well.

"To be able to be there in the 93rd minute tells you what type of player we have here at the club so I'm delighted for him."

hould have stayed because we carried him for 6.5 years. And then he has a breakthrough season, and was gone soon after. MU fans, you would be as disgusted had C Ronaldo left in 2007 and not 2009.

ood grief. Someone guessed that the form English player at the moment might be in his national side with some other players? And that's espionage? Now if they discovered that Emile Heskey was going to be in the starting line up.... at right back.... THAT would be espionage. Give it a rest Roy.
