Would love to see West Ham do well next season and you're right, that list of names is definitely quite appealing.....

Spurs should really put in a bid for Hernandez and Zaha. I hope the latter stays, but he would be a good fit for Spurs if he has to leave, and Hernandez is a new and better Defoe, an ideal foil for that midfield.

Why did Sunderland buy Pantilimon when they have Vito Mannone... Vito was excellent last season and was named their player of the season by both supporters group and by the club.... Is Poyet also eyeing top four finish now :)

@Yossarian_lives. I guess the reality is that we still only managed a solitary go in the CL and they probably wanted that every season. It definitely isn't a level playing field but we aren't at the sh!tty end of it by a long way. KevinBoatang. You may be right on Walker, I do feel that Lennon's work-rate has dropped which doesn't help. I almost just want the entire team given a clean slate from the pretty dire last couple of seasons.

For no reason other than his name, I simply wouldn't trust someone called "Lee Congerton" with a multi-million pound transfer budget...

@orikoru, if you're desperate for a left-back, I'm available, look no further. No messing, my finest ever game for Sandbach School was away to Manchester Grammar at left-back. Tenacious in the tackle, and cavaliar in attack, I was the complete package that day. You'd be lucky to have such a player. I almost took their right winger home with me, as he was firmly wedged in my pocket form90 minutes that day. Thank God I heard the muffled screams. Granted, that was 15 years ago now, and I've got some dicky ankles these days, but I've kept myself in reasonable shape all this time. I never gave up on my dream, perhaps now is my time to shine. Pick me! Pick me!!

@dryice, problem with Walker is we have been saying 'one more opportunity' every season since he got into the team. His brain is nowhere to be seen, you can see the emptiness in his eyes as he realises he's somehow managed to get 20 yards beyond his defence and the striker has gone, or the random backpasses from 40 yards. He's all pace, that's all he's got. I remember he once said his role model was Alves, which speaks volumes.

riting a minute by minute account on Berbatov would be like chronicling the days of the guy punished for sloth in the movie Se7en. Day 4 - lay in bed, did nothing - 15th minute, stood there did nothing .
