redbornandbred (Manchester United) says...

@crowsy The Glazers bought Utd for 800m and the club is now valued at £1.4 bn. The debt has been substantially reduced. That principle is like buying a house say in London. As you pay off the mortgage so the value increases hence you debt to capital asset ratio becomes small and easily serviced. Compare this with the shady shake's money pit which is less than 20% of United's value but has cost him £1 bn. Indeed the value of Citeh as a commercial unit is actually less than the club has spent on players in the last 3 years - which are supposed to be an asset by the way. The current revenue is made up largely of business deals through the ss's various companies. You only have to watch the pitch-side adverts to realise this. It is not real sustainable commercial revenue in the sense that it is at United and Arsenal. Also there a huge subsidy on seat prices because if the equivalent real cost as per Arsenal was charged. there would be even more empty seats than were visible at the Chelsea match! There is no flexibility in that regard. At the moment we have Citeh fans on the one hand bragging about the Abu Barclays billions (avoiding checking out the UN, Human Rights watch and Amnesty on this country) and in the same breath complaining about prices at Arsenal! They better hope the ss doesn't get board and feel he losing face (especially in Europe) , as it would make the bankrupting of Rangers look like a kid spending too much pocket money!

m absolutely disgusted that I've been misquoted in saying that if a chance came up to join Arsenal I would be interested. What I meant to say is if Man United or Chelsea were interested......
