An article so obvious that it doesn't even warrant writing. But it's on Arsenal so it will get clicks and I won't lie, I do like the attention ;).

Well, the the Liverpool fan's panic is pretty warranted considering this thing in June called the World Cup. Not just because it reduces the transfer window by a month, but might also impact the price of a player.

Good points. The problem this time is of course the World Cup. Although, history suggests that he will spend around 50 million, on 5-9 players, only three of which will be ready for the first team.

Sarah, you overlooked the most important reason for Arsenal to move now: Season Ticket renewals, which cost an extra 3% this year, are due on 1 June. For anyone wavering about whether to pony up the extra cash, the signing of Morata or (let us hope) Benzema might be the push they need.

Again, Mrs. Winterburn strikes an important point about Arsenal. An early signal of intent could only have a positive effect on not only the fan base but the players at the club. A sign that the shackles of the stadium repayment are well and truly off.

The problem with today's market is that it is so awash with money with only a limited number of top targets available that the waiting game and looking for value can become a self defeating exercise as missing on your top targets as they are being picked off by other clubs just add to your desperation and eventually leads to overspend (or no spend) anyway.

Arsenal need to reinforce to secure what should be at least a five (maybe six or even seven) way battle for fourth. A strong summer could see them as serious title contenders. I wonder if Wenger will look back at missing on a 35m Higuain as a missed opportunity when he looks at a market with few top class forward going about and decides to go with the cheaper, more limited Remy instead.

I'm tremendously drunk but as an Arsenal fan I say sod Arsenal fans. Arsenal fans would have sold Ramsey long ago.

h Daniel. I could spend hours on this subject putting the world to rights. You can even take a step back and ask why football fans (and society in general) have this need to know that something will happen before it actually does. There are times this important, when it comes to things like war, food production and natural disasters. A man you've never met changing his job? Not so much.

reat article. Hits the nail on the head. Encapsulates why I don't read tabloid newspapers anymore. The only thing worse is the 'told you so first' headline when they get lucky.
