@jd.quench - Really? You actually feel it necessary to bring that into the equation? How is that relevant exactly? My opinion is somehow inferior to yours because I support Celtic? Excellent !

damoceltic - you follow a team in an uncompetitive league and are therefore out of your depth when it comes to discussing competitive football.

@damoceltic (Celtic)> Fellaini plays for United. United have lots of fans as well as a bucketload of ABUs. Write about a united player is guaranteed to draw plenty of reads as well as comments.

Nice Bolak :) Are you saying that Fellaini's best role is a false square peg?

"convert the Belgian into a ball-playing midfielder". Really? No... he is there to break up the play. That is why we brought him in. To protect the back four, to be a pain in the ass to opposing midfielders with his strength and aerial abillty, and to nick a few goals. No one said he was supposed to be a ball playing midfielder, and god knows he has no chance of getting that role further up. But he is great at what we bought him for. Spoiling and short passes to the creative players. That's what he needs to learn, how to shield the ball and keep possession. But either way, hopefully he has turned a corner and I expect he'll be important at United next year. Him getting that gig will do Jones a favour too as he can get back to being a great centre back.

Wow, a whole article of analysis on a player after 20 minutes on the pitch?

Point that is being missed- he was seen as a holding mid in Belgium, and we signed him as such to replace Carsley

United should sell Fellaini to Fat Sam. Fellaini would be the ideal replacement for the aging Kevin Nolan. He does most of the same things, only better.

United tried to convert Fellaini into a ball playing defensive midfielder. Problem was Felliani had no ball playing skills nor had a clue about defensive positioning. So he struggle to make a meaningful pass and just ran after the opponent who had the ball like a dog chasing a car and ended up just fouling them and giving away free kicks in dangerous position.

He is a good player if he can be played up front, useless when pretending to play as a defensive midfielder.

ark clattenburg is one of those referees that tends to get stick from both sides cos he likes to let the game flow and is quite lenient, and people only remember the fouls against their own team that go unpunished whilst not noticing the ones they've gotten away with. To pick up 4 yellow cards with clattenburg in charge speaks volumes about your approach to the game mr pellegrini.

astly under-rated goal keeper. Barcelona could have gone out and bought a keeper at any point they liked, but they stuck with him for a reason.
