The Tigers will grace the last four of English football's grandest cup competition for the first time since 1930 on Sunday, when they face Sky Bet League One outfit Sheffield United.

Reaching this stage could be considered an achievement in itself, with Hull enjoying a productive campaign which has also seen them close on Premier League safety in their first season back in the big time.

Elmohamady is, however, of the opinion that the campaign will only be considered a success if Steve Bruce's side make the most of the opportunities that have come their way and put themselves in a position to challenge for major silverware on 17th May.

He said in the Hull Daily Mail: "We are really looking forward to the cup game against Sheffield United. It will be great to go to Wembley.

"I know everyone here is very excited. We want to win the game. Getting to Wembley is not enough.

"We all know about the last time Hull got to a semi-final. It will be great for everyone if we can get Hull to its first final. That would be a massive thing for everyone in the city.

"I want to enjoy the day and you only do that if you win. To play at Wembley twice in one year would be incredible."

Hull have taken in five fixtures since seeing off Sunderland in the FA Cup quarter-finals - winning two of those games and suffering three defeats - and Elmohamady is delighted the waiting is finally over.

He added: "It has seemed a long time.

"It has been there at the back of our minds but now we can think about it fully. There are no distractions or anything like that.

"It was a great result against Swansea (on Saturday). They are a top team and although we didn't play great, we did enough to get the win.

"With that out of the way, we can now concentrate on the FA Cup and that was always our aim once we got past Sunderland. It will allow us to relax and not think about the league."

still can't see the Phil Jones thing that some people go on about. Whenever I watch him play it's a repeat of headless chicken meets a gurning Bambi on ice for 90 minutes.

P

robably the first list I've come across in a long time where I agree with a large majority of what was written. Can't agree with everything though, Zaba has had an awful season by his standards, I'd put Monreal (a player who I've never rated) up there, gotta give credit where it's due, he's really stepped up his game.
