The striker, who has scored 23 league goals this season, is joined on the list by Chris Erskine of Partick Thistle, Livingston's Stefan Scougall and Michael Tidser of Morton.

In division two, Queen of the South duo Daniel Carmichael and Nicky Clark are nominated along with in-form Arbroath striker Steven Doris and Andrew Jackson of Brechin City.

Third division champions Rangers have two players on the shortlist - David Templeton and Lee Wallace - with David Anderson of Queens Park and Elgin City's Daniel Moore completing the line-up.
