Rafa Casting Shadow Over Pardew?

If we were Alan Pardew, we'd feel a whole lot better if Rafa Benitez took a job far away from the Premier League. He looks the most vulnerable to a Spanish coup...

Sunderland v Tottenham
Sunderland's win over Manchester City on Boxing Day was a real kick in the relics for Roberto Mancini and the Black Cats are 11/4 to follow that win up with victory over Spurs in Saturday's early kick-off. It would take a brave man to bet against Spurs however, who looked awesome in beating Aston Villa 4-0. Gareth Bale had a worldy and given the fact that Sunderland have won just one of their last seven matches against Tottenham I like the 11/10 about an away win.
Betting: Tottenham to beat Sunderland at 11/10 (Betfred/Coral/Hills)

Aston Villa v Wigan
This is such a difficult game to predict with any degree of confidence. Villa have shipped no fewer than 12 goals in their last two matches while Wigan are on a wretched recent run and are in free-fall. Backing 'Both Teams to Score' at 4/5 might be an idea but all things considered I'd rather be on Michael Van Gerwen to win the darts. Dodgy feet or no dodgy feet, 'Mighty Mike' looks a man on a mission this year and current 9/2 quotes are frankly crackalackers.
Betting: Van Gerwen to win the PDC World Championships at 9/2 (Sky Bet)

Fulham v Swansea
'Keep Calm and Pass The Ball To Me'. So said Dimitar Berbatov after scoring against the Saints on Boxing Day. He picked up a booking for his troubles but Berba's team-mates would do well to heed the tactical acumen of the classy Bulgar, who looks razor sharp at the minute.
Betting: Berbatov to score anytime at 15/8 (Stan James)

Manchester United v West Brom
'Never say Die' was the motto of beer keg-loving Stiles in the movie Teen Wolf and it seems to be the mantra of this Manchester United team, who somehow recovered from shipping three goals against Newcastle to end up with three points. Robin Van Persie has been the difference for them this season, with the Dutchman as short as 4/9 in places to score against the Baggies. West Brom are no mugs however, and I think this match could be a lot tighter than many are predicting.
Betting: Under 2.5 goals at 7/4 (Coral)

Norwich v Manchester City
The Citizens will really have to go some to retain their Premier League title from here and it is a lack of goals that is costing them. Mancini concedes his side are "too soft in attack" and given the firepower they have at their disposal it's crazy the amount of times already this season they have drawn a blank away from home. I reckon this game will be settled by a goal either way so again fancy 'Unders' at odds-against.
Betting: Under 2.5 goals at 11/10 (Stan James/Paddy Power)

Reading v West Ham
The Hammers at 13/8 is a bet that jumps straight off the coupon. Reading have been bobbins for most of this campaign and I fancy them to finish rock bottom in May. The Madejski is no fortress and love him or loathe him, you cannot deny that Sam Allardyce has got West Ham playing some decent stuff.
Betting West Ham to beat Reading at 13/8 (Blue Sq)

Stoke v Southampton
I was hoping for a bit of odds-against about Stoke in this one but won't be passing up on the 5/6. They are unbeaten in 16 matches at home and looked mighty impressive in swatting Liverpool aside 3-1 the other night. In short, this looks like a mortgage job.
Betting: Stoke to beat Southampton at 5/6 (Coral)

Arsenal v Newcastle United
The Gunners should be revved up for this given they didn't have a game on Boxing Day but whether they justify current 4/9 quotes is another matter. The Mags were magnificent for the most part at Old Trafford the other day and I reckon Papiss Cisse looks a big price at 7/2 to score in North London. He's not set the world on fire this term but strikes me as a player who ups his game against the division's better sides and he'll certainly get chances to mess with the auld onion bag at the Emirates.
Betting: Cisse to score anytime at 7/2 (Bet Victor)

Everton v Chelsea
Rafa Benitez seems to be turning things in his favour and Chelsea have looked in good nick over the festive season. Everton away will be a huge test but one I feel they can negate. The Toffees have shipped goals in each of their last 14 Premier League matches and that is an ominous stat when you consider the talent Chelsea have up top.
Betting Chelsea to beat Everton at 13/8 (Bet Victor)

QPR v Liverpool
I've given up on Liverpool this season. Awesome one week, legitimate laughing stocks the next. I know one thing though, I'd rather nail my own hands to a betting shop roulette machine than back them at odds-on. Like me in the sack, they are far too inconsistent and as they proved against Stoke the other night often shoot their bolt too early before collapsing in a rather undignified manner.
Betting: QPR and Liverpool to draw 2-2 at 16/1 (Coral/Hills)
