Man United deserved their excellent 1-1 draw with Real Madrid, but Sir Alex Ferguson will want his team to be better prepared for the threat of Ronaldo at Old Trafford...

Ronny was troublesome and dangerous in the 1st half but once Rafa and Phil Jones got the measure of it he was pretty quiet in the 2nd half. Also returning to OT will be a big thing for him. I can't believe I'm going - can't wait!

I'd compare this United side to the current Bayern one in many ways. Both have been in two CL finals in the last 4 years, losing both (us to Barcas twice, and Bayern to Chelsea and Inter). Both sides are currently miles ahead in their respective leagues, and both have just got relatively positive reults in their opening knock-out round fixtures. Bayern are stronger on paper, obviously, but I see no reason why this United side is being criticised the way it is.

I

m curious as to what image Real Madrid are trying to re-establish as I always thought their pre-Jose image was one of a bunch of a classless bullies tapping up whoever they wanted while living it large on borrowed money they're never going to pay back.

aniel Storey generally did very well, going against the City won it last year so they're bound to win it this time grain. As for John Nicholson, I wouldn't trust him to predict correctly what day of the week it will be tomorrow.
